Carpentras has had  a few very good sportsmen, and  has won several  champion titles, but  has yet remained at the level of an ordinary French country  town. Therefore our aim is  not glory and fame but information and research.

So far, our iconographic archives have not been classified, therefore we cannot display any catalogue. Still, you may get in touch with us if you need help or are interested.

Our image bank contains ancient documents , such as 18th century engravings or 19th century paintings and photographs, as well as several thousands of 20th century photos, about one hundred of them being originals.(for which we usually do not charge copy rights)

We are particularly well documented in certain fields, such as motor sports, for which our photographic archives date back to 1902.Or even rugby (Carpentras had a team in 1902), or motoball, a local sport with a very special history, for whose study  several master's degrees might prove necessary !
